Soul Snack 148/10 ... Dreams delivered
A very winsome smile set her tender heart aglow. This unsolicited beam seemed so unusual. Her eyes, now wider and deeper than the Grand Canyon, looked up to love.
A seemingly tall figure she had longed to meet, now stood beside her. His outstretched arms invited embrace. This required only one child's step forward.
Her ruffled hair, pink eyes and damp cheeks were outward evidence to an inner distress.
Receiving His attention and standing in His presence was more than she even dared hope for.
Her love of Him had long colored her black world. He now knelt beside her. She so willingly stepped into His embrace. Heaven held this unloved child on earth. Unseen, these arms had upheld her, all her brief and troubled life - now they would envelope her forever.
To feel the hold of Heaven is to be released from the hurts of earth.
If the welcome of this world has eluded you, please don't worry because you were not made for this world.
The LORD is close to the brokenhearted
and saves those who are crushed in spirit. (Ps 34:18)
