Soul Snack 139/13 ... God's Microscope
Whose heart is so given, so taken, so consumed by the Almighty as to permit no competitor?
Whoever has an undivided heart:
- one that is not penetrated by the changes and chances of this fleeting world...
- that neither pursues gold nor glory...
- that holds bells and baubles at a safe distance...
will then have a heart under Divine development, approaching some spiritual health. The owner of this heart can be truthfully examined under the Word's all revealing microscope.
For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart. (Hebs 4:12)
O Lord show me my ways that I may see your ways more clearly, leave my ways more quickly and love your ways more dearly. AMEN
Teach me your way Lord, that I may rely on your faithfulness; give me an undivided heart, that I may fear your name. (Ps 86:11)
