The Island Soul?

Soul Snack 12/11 ... The Island Soul?

It is either the tenderness or the torture of the heart that is food for the soul.

The soul that is fed on tenderness grows and beams with life -- the soul that is fed on torture slides into darkness and withers.

The tender soul knows, finds and gives health - the tortured soul sees, finds and gives death.

Happy people bless others, hurting people hurt others.

All people live out of their heart-fed souls. Masks may hide the torture, but the beaming face from tenderness can never be hidden - it is infectious!

Forty years ago, Simon and Garfunkel sang I am a rock, I am an island. This song of sadness need not have been penned.

While no human may ever accurately know another's soul, the Lord truly does.

The soul of torture He also weeps over. He will not leave these tears unattended. He will send a soul of tenderness to touch the soul of torture.

No soul is an island to God.

“The LORD be exalted, who delights in the well-being of his servant." (Ps 35:27b)

Today's Soul Snippet:

Jesus yearned for me in heaven, that is why He came to me on earth.
