The Clawings at Life

Soul Snack 37/11 ...The Clawings at Life

In the groping at life for peace and well-being, the finger's can slip and the nails can be broken.

In the soulful prayer for the elusive, spirits are laid bare with seldom a change.

Within a faith is stirred but without a hope is still hindered.

In the clutching at life's meanings, the seeking of purpose and the drive to self-worth there is only one constant - - the pure and safe knowledge that a manic messiah trod the road of shattered dreams and failed desires two millennia ago too.

The axiom for those who claw at life remains:

They who get behind Jesus, will find that Jesus has already got behind them.

Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light. (Matt 11:28-30)
