The Place of Grace

Soul Snack 65/10 ... The Place of Grace.

At dawn each day no-one can know what awaits them. Behind the knock on the door or the ring of the phone, either scandal or significance may await.

A casual meander around the markets and you could bump into a fool or a sage.

The course of good, somehow, inevitably, crosses the course of bad.

There are those who may feel that they have bumped into more fools than sages, and found more scandal than significance to their lives. Such souls are souls of trouble.

The soul of travail has no aphrodisiac to numb its pain and salve its distress.

A body of pent up pain, hungers for a release that simply eludes.

When no external pain 'take-away' truly exists, when no release or repair is present, the maudlin life must simply remain.

Acquiescing before the throne of pain is no place to be found kneeling. The spirit and soul scream for help, but this throne is empty.

The Throne of Grace is the place to be found, when scrambling through the shambles of life.

This throne is never vacant and ever helpful.

"When I need to be lifted up in my spirit, it is wise to fall down on my knees."

The Throne of Grace is the only place for the saddened face.

"Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light." (Mt 11:28-30)
