Touched!

Soul Snack 33/10 ... Touched!

Observed by the Throne of Grace and untouched by man, her very restless spirit stirred afresh.

Gripped in an all too familiar barrenness of spirit she lay uncomfortably prostrate!

Within the confines of the mind and the boundaries of the spirit these stirrings flowed with a relentless intent to disrupt.

Yearning for more, yet not knowing 'why' or 'what' was her existence through life.

Tender and deep eyes engaged her serial restlessness.

Eternal arms reached out to enfold and to encompass, yet in barrenness there can also be numbness -  no comfort would be received although it was immediate.

God felt distant, and seemed absent. Peace was elusive, yet the mind knew this was an untruth.

What her spirit believed was in oppostion to that which her mind knew.

She was striving for God, God was striving for her ... I wonder who was striving the most?

" ... He is not far from each one of us. 'For in him we live and move and have our being.' As some of your own poets have said, 'We are his offspring.' " (Acts 17:27b-28)
