When the war is over
Soul Snack 197/10 ... When the war is over
When this load is lifted,
When the sky is clear,
When harmony has replaced hassle,
When the past no longer injures the present,
and tears are replaced with joy,
you will recall, indeed consider, those dark years of burdens and sadness, of sickness and heartaches and reflect wow, they have gone so quickly.
Those years will then feel so fleeting,
They will literally feel as if your feet had not even touched the ground,
Looking down in your hindsight you will see that they didn't,
You will see whip-torn shoulders as Jesus carried you,
Your faith will be polished, reflecting the Son,
Your knees will be calloused,
but you will never lament that darkness, for the light now you will live in.
