Treasured Teaching

Soul Snack 8/82 ... Treasured Teaching

Picture (if you can) a vault packed with tightly stacked gold bullion, a cabinet of exquisite diamonds or a museum of Van Goghs, your access would be severely restricted if at all.

I remember visiting The Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam some years ago. Brazen security guards everywhere, controlling even my fingers, (I was warned not to take photos). Somehow these public treasures for all still unavailable to me.

To unlock treasures, to be a custodian of treasures is a position of privilege, power and trust. To have such access I need to know the owner of the treasures.

He said to them, "Therefore every teacher of the law who has been instructed about the kingdom of heaven is like the owner of a house who brings out of his storeroom new treasures as well as old." Mt 13:52

To hold the keys to His treasury is a position of honour only given to the most trusted employees.

The teacher of the things of God is a displayer and disseminator of treasure. They are no zealous guard that sees the treasure more valuable than the soul who would enjoy it. This teacher delivers the gold of God's vault's to all who would take it.

Surprisingly this treasure can be ignored and rejected. Some are no more able to recognise this treasure than I am able to recognise an original Van Gogh.

Yet for those who teach God's treasures they already are permitted into God's vault. They are God's treasured teachers taking His treasures without restriction to those who would receive them.
