Hard to believe?

Soul Snack 9/91 ... Hard to believe?

My delightful nineteen year old princess bought a new skirt most recently. (Now, that's not hard to believe is it?) This next fact though will astound you! She neglected to try it on!

As she proudly modeled this fresh purchase my wife and I chorused unanimously and simultaneously ... 'it's too small!' This rare collison of the parental planets left no doubt as to the wisdom of her shopping. Her parents' groans unmistakeable, even to the rarely teachable.

Often my body too has groaned because it has not been dressed properly. I absolutely refuse to wear "Speedos" to the beach without shorts, for then many others would also groan.

When I am dressed inapproriately my 'body groans'. Wearing a "T- Shirt' atop Mt Welliington in July or a parka in Cairns across Christmas are never comfortable.

The purpose of my creation is to be made immortal. My body is not there yet. No wonder it groans.

The world hungers for this too, but it 'eats' in all the wrong places.

'Hunger for heaven - it's out of this world.'

Yep - there is finally a heavenly body awaiting the eternally hungry.

So will it be with the resurrection of the dead. The body that is sown is perishable, it is raised imperishable; it is sown in dishonor, it is raised in glory; it is sown in weakness, it is raised in power; it is sown a natural body, it is raised a spiritual body. If there is a natural body, there is also a spiritual body. (1 Cor 15:42-44)
