Winning Weakness

Soul Snack 9/84 ... Winning Weakness

She wrestled in a meaningless present and endured a hopeless past.

Faith had been stirred - indeed shaken!

Problems from her past assailed her future. Still she reached out to heaven, still she would speak of her comforter.

The staff in her hospital ward by now would smile with a condescending politeness to her weakened witness. The cleaners would always see her Word open, cleaning around it, not daring to close it.

The evening pain again she would release to her Lord as she struggled to fall asleep - but she always did!

She loved her Father and spoke of Him most lovingly. Into her soul and spirit flowed hope. Across her person floated the unseen canopy of protection. Her faith would no more be assaulted than her Bible would be left closed.

The promise of heaven still perfect in her weakness.

"Because he loves me," says the LORD, "I will rescue him;
I will protect him, for he acknowledges my name." Ps 91:14
