Soul Snack 9/107 ... The quality queue!
(Reflections from Zech 3:1-7)
Picture the heavenly throne room, the great court that emanates light and justice. God is seated - two are before Him, Joshua and satan.
Both evil and filth are now present before the Throne of Grace. Evil accuses the filth, but God HImself defends the filth (1-3).
In a heartbeat, in a mere instance, filth is cleansed (v4) and poor garments are angelically replaced by rich ones (v5).
With the cleansing comes a charge and a call direct from the throne. These instructions are tempered by the most desirable promise within the universe (vs 6-7). For those who are cleansed and serve well, there is a place with those already standing before Him. They are not prostrate, they are vertical!
This is what the LORD Almighty says: 'If you will walk in my ways and keep my requirements, then you will govern my house and have charge of my courts, and I will give you a place among these standing here. Zech 3:7
Life is so often spent standing in infinite poor queues - at the bank, at the train station or at the checkouts.
Now thru His cleansing I don't have to queue in heaven, I don't even have to fall prostrate, I can stand erect before The Infinite.
I am now able to stand before The Infinte without an infinite queue.
