'Jesus Air'

Soul Snack 8/113 ... 'Jesus Air'

Roaring turbines ingesting ever increasing volumes of city polluted air, strain every nut and bolt and washer.

At around 270km/ph this plane starts to lift. With wheels only metres above the ground, the massive Pratt and Whitney Turbofan engines reach for every unit of power they possess to lift skywards nearly 400 tons. Within minutes this airliner will be stable, throttled down and cruising at an easy 12,000 metres.

300+ passengers and crew happy to be settled into this trans-pacific flight. Interestingly, not one passenger on this 747 had a 1 way ticket. (Very few people buy 1 way tickets, they want to return home.) Many were in fact on the return leg of their ticket. Others were simply excited about the first leg of their sojourn.

Jesus has bought us our ticket to home. His is clearly distinct. His is one way and His is also free.

When I follow Jesus, He invites me to leave my past behind. He is now at home - He wants me too there with Him.

Do not say, "Why were the old days better than these?" For it is not wise to ask such questions. Eccl 7:10

With Jesus resident in my life there are no rear vision mirrors, only the clean and quiet thrust from the engines belonging to Him, taking me skywards.

Today choose to only travel forward - fly with 'Jesus Air'.

You were taught, with regard to your former way of life, to put off your old self, which is being corrupted by its deceitful desires; to be made new in the attitude of your minds; and to put on the new self, created to be like God in true righteousness and holiness. Eph 4:22-24
