The Cancer of Resentment

Resentment swings as a dull grey pall above relationships. Anger then turns this grey to black.

Resentment promises an unspoken vengeance. But from silence it can only deliver a deadly war.

It is a tent to the passive aggressive, the canopy over bitterness.

Resentment is the harbor of a bitter heart, the padlock to its soul.

Living with resentment is death while the lungs still draw breath.

Resentment is the yeast of both personal and relationship destruction. It is the divider of friends, the enemy of lovers and a crusher to the spirit.

Anger and resentments are bed partners. They shall nightly share a pillow.

Resentment is the filter of the emotions to reduce relationships, adding injury to insult.

Resentment permitted when one offence is found will only be multiplied when new offences arise.

As with love, resentment becomes the measure of relationships. First one relationship and then the next.

Resentment kills a fool, and envy slays the simple. (Job 5:2)

Resentment is as unrelenting as love is all encompassing. It can no more be hidden than love can be compressed.
