The Vault of Your Heart

Take care that the world does hate you, that it hates you without cause. (Charles Spurgeon)

Rejoice when you are despised and counted as nothing, because God sees in you what no man can even imagine. He sees those carefully measured deposits of faith; heaven's gold bars that are not trading currency, or out-of-this-world bitcoin.

These precious faith bars He has gifted  you cannot buy fine cloth anymore than they can build impressive mansions. But they hold a far truer wealth.

Blessed are you when people hate you and when they exclude you and revile you and spurn your name as evil, on account of the Son of Man! (Luke 6:22)

Rejoice again and sing for joy when you are counted as unworthy upon earth, for yours is the Kingdom of Heaven.

Your wealth lies within, no man can measure it.

God peers into the vault of your heart. He counts perfectly how many eternal bars of faith you carry and still hold to; gilt-edged truth-bars you refuse to exchange or jettison.

Now learn this and listen for it - there is an early and gentle echo, an assurance within your soul when you hold the gloss of this world so loosely:

'well done good and faithful servant'.

The honor of man is fleeting, the honor of God is eternal.
