The World Awaits You

The world awaits you, it is to each man his oyster.

When an irritant enters an oyster's shell its natural reaction is to cover the speck and protect itself. It is then a pearl can grow.

The pearl, that aspirational product of oyster shells only grows through persistent and minute irritation. It is the irritation that creates a most sought after jewel of beauty.

Always look around for those who annoy and are difficult, choose to not flee these nasty souls. This then permits God to do His painful, yet beautiful work in you.

The bitter, the critical, the self-focussed - the accuser, the complainer and even the just plain boring persons are good fertiliser to your soul. These are your grace builders.

The more annoying such people can be, the greater the grace you can choose to offer. But, don't be surprised if they miss it, just give it anyway.

For from His fullness we have all received, grace upon grace. (John 1:16)

Irritation is one of Jesus' preferred methods to pour out His grace upon grace to us, that we will reciprocate to testing others.

It is in a regular annoyance the Lord can polish His own people. Those who annoy are grace builders. Endless suffering and many a heartache are God's fashioning of a disciple's heart.

God's intention is that we grow further and further into the image of His Son.

Before you lament the testing look of your fashioning, recall:

The world awaits you, it is to be your oyster.
