The good Lord has given us all abundant promise and enormous warning of His intentions to return.
Jesus has repeated this so persistently it is loud to any Bible reading disciple.
His word is eternal and stands firm in the heavens (Psalm 119:89), waiting for its appointed times upon earth. God does not alter the words of His lips, or take them back. (Psalm 89:34, Isaiah 31:7)
The Lord's promises are as secure as His Throne of Grace.
Jesus is returning.
His promises and warnings do not fade, they live to this day.
When the Son of Man comes in His glory, and all the angels with Him, then He will sit on His glorious throne. Before Him will be gathered all the nations, and He will separate people one from another as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats. And He will place the sheep on His right, but the goats on the left. (Matthew 25:31-33)
Mankind is expert in disbelief, but God is not rebuked by man.
How should the believer then live as he eagerly awaits his Master's return, the establishment of the home of righteousness? (2 Peter 3:14b)
Purity is the call and tenacity is the path to each disciple's holy home. (2 Peter 3:12)
The perseverance required is far easier when I know all I want is to live in glory, whatever its cost.
You guide me with Your counsel, and afterward You will take me into glory. (Psalm 73:24)
