When The Very Rich Play

'He who dies with the most wins'. ~ Rene Rivkin (1944-2005, Australian stockbroker)

Extravagant (and errant) lifestyles are injected into our attention almost daily. Their addictions likewise pop-up and command headlines regularly.

Untrammelled excesses can become the playgrounds of the very wealthy.

This is a consuming lifestyle of those countless ones addicted to the absence of self-restraint. They are yet to learn - that there is no more contentment from indulgence than a tsunami can bring refreshment.

Jesus led a totally indulgent lifestyle too, but with one very significant difference. He completely indulged others - not Himself.

PLEASE NOTE though - He truly did and still does own the cattle on a thousand hills ... and the fullness thereof.

As with those given to extravagant excesses it also cost Him too much.

Indulgence has its own life-claiming addictions -- Jesus' life claiming addiction was YOU. Would you reciprocate?

For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only son, that whoever believes in Him will not perish but have eternal life. (John 3:16)
