Diving into Peace

The indwelling of righteousness is sweet to the soul. The indwelling of rights is destructive. The maintenance of personal rights is fuel for the warrior soul, as the gaze is fixed within, with little consideration of benefits to another. A soul engaged in conflict is a soul ill at ease.

Imagine the mom who maintains rights over of her body and so aborts an unborn child. Her personal rights have destroyed an unborn life - whose eyes will never see light, be caressed by the sun's delightful warmth or feel the favor of love. The child is lost to eternity while the mom's spirit is then torn; so she too knows no peace. Abortion is unrighteousness. Unrighteousness is the thief of peace.

When righteousness dwells within it creates outward gazing eyes; the fruit of this soul becomes rest. Now the soul is not looking for self or war, but looking to righteousness - the home of peace.

The seeking of peace is an offense to those who would wage war and stand upon their rights. They think it strange, and in multiplying misunderstanding rage and so lose peace again.

Those who deny their fights for rights enjoy the peace of righteousness.

God's ways will always oppose man's ways, for since Eden we live in an inverted world.

Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be filled. (Matthew 5:6)
