The Bedrock of the Righteous

I will say to myself - the Lord is my portion; therefore I will wait for Him. (Lamentations 3:24)

When I am stubborn that Jesus is all I need, and am sure He is all I will have - there is nobody and nothing to pursue for my well being. He is truly my portion.

I have brought my needs and my desires before my Lord, their fulfilment exists not in my doing but in my trusting.

It is when I trust, I wait; both are the catalysts for knowing God. And so, His sweetest manna falls anew each dawn at my very door.

When Jesus becomes all my pursuits, peace slips across my shoulders as my mantle. The cares of tomorrow are unable to steal the joy of this day.

As I make my Lord my portion, His manna is equal to all my hungers and a quenching to all my thirsts.

The heart of the righteous man is steadfast, trusting in the Lord. (Psalm 112:7)
