Navigating Spiritual Disability ~ B

Why is man so literally blind to the infinite truths of the spiritual world and its permanence?

Stephen Hawking suggests an old chestnut that further illustrates the above question:

"There is a fundamental difference between religion, which is based on authority, and science, which is based on observation and reason. Science will win, because it works."

This world is as equally far from the victory of science as this life axiom is hollow - eat, drink and be merry for tomorrow we die!

Similar too that humanly mighty mind of Stephen Hawking, mankind travels daily through life in a spiritual vacuum, or kindly helped along in a spurious spiritual wheelchair (false faiths) for they are unable stand on the truth.

WHY? (This is the second point from yesterday's SoulSnack.)

2) Man still eats from the Tree of Knowledge. The tree of forbidden fruit has been God's competitor since Eden, claiming the minds and then the hearts of mankind. Its rotten fruit of half-truths, lies and contradictions to the Tree of Life drop every second to the ground.

The fruit of the Tree of Knowledge is to deny the Tree of Life.

Science and education does this with an ever multiplying, self-serving energy. It is this deceitful self-promoting tree that all men eat from. Little wonder they disbelieve in spiritual realities.

The Lord God took the man and put him in the Garden of Eden to work it and take care of it. And the Lord God commanded the man, ‘You are free to eat from any tree in the garden; but you must not eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, for when you eat from it you will certainly die.’ (Genesis 2:15-17)

Spiritual disability becomes spiritual ability when the fruits from Tree of Knowledge of good and evil are replaced by the fruits from Tree of Life.

The Tree of Life will never offer you the fruit of lies and disbelief.

Sit each day under the shade from Tree of Life and eat its fruits alone, for this is the navigation of spiritual ability.

"True spiritual ambition is the divine magnet that draws a believer ever closer to The Tree of Life." ~ Michael Cartwright
