Dwelling in Fine Pastures

I am the gate; whoever enters through me will be saved. They will come in and go out, and find pasture. The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full. (John 10:9-10)

Those who would walk behind the Good Shepherd have recognised His voice as true, and will be led to fine pasture, fields that offer life to the full. Such pasture is the place of peace, safety, shelter and Divine food.

The Good Shepherd's pasture are the caves or the expanses where the sheep receive His rest.

When anxiety is great within them consolation will be found - He strokes the sheep's soul. Joy too will flow. (See Psalm 94:19)

The sheep graze beside unmoving waters, and lie down without fear. Their souls shall be restored. (See Psalm 23:1-3)

It is only the true and good shepherd that can take you to true and good pastures, all other places that promise rest will only lead you to destruction. Those fields belong to the thief.
