The Serious Business of Heaven

Is there anything 'serious' in 'forever-after'?

Could this next sentence sound 'kinda' interesting to you?

Heaven evokes all speakable and to some even unspeakable pleasures of eternity. The signal is indulgence.

Once a young unknown man stood in happiness looking to the skies. Some of his musings have survived:

Cloaked in the grey of dusk, silently he stood.

Dusk soon became darkness.

He gazed longer with deep thanks cast beyond the starry hosts. His eyes danced the path of the milky way - to a destination as yet unseen.

This tender heart became refreshed (again) by a Divine infusion of joy.

Peering intently into the skies, he knew within that Heaven smiled with equal intent towards Him.

God is close to the humble, and resisting of the proud.

A soul of humble gratitude he raised heavenwards. Out of character his hands too were raised. A heart alive expressed itself in a body given to praise. His mouthed pursed, repeatedly  ~ 'PRAISE YOU.'

Body, soul and spirit all savored this 'visit't. His Father enjoyed it equally, as well. Both simultaneously wept a tear of joy.

The joy of a heart attuned to praise is to be sought and held onto. He had tasted Heaven already, and knows what is truly best.

Day and night they (the four living creatures) never stop saying: "Holy, holy, holy is the Lord God Almighty, who was, and is, and is to come." (Revelation 4:8b)

Read Revelation 4 and 5 at one sitting, see how your heart may too be raised to praise.
