IMPOSSIBLE - is God's signature!
Christmas is heralded in 2 Samuel 7:16 as the good Lord promises to King David ... Your house and Your kingdom will endure forever before Me; Your throne will be established forever. What the Old Testament heralds, the New Testament continues and concludes. The flow of the Old Testament is accurate, and is developed - not lost in the New Testament. So, from 2 Samuel 7:16 we wind the clock forward nearly a millennia to Mary, who is God's favored woman of all time.
Luke records in 1:28... the angel went to her and said 'you are highly favored! The Lord is with you'.
Mary becomes troubled and a reassuring Gabriel speaks again to Mary in v30 do not be afraid Mary, you have found favor with God... twice. I don't know of any other described as 'twice favored'.
Mary humbly responded to the visitation of the angel Gabriel... I am the Lord's servant, may it be to me as you have said. (Luk3 1:38)
Mary was chosen as the vehicle to convey the Messiah into this world, for His redemptive assignment.
Mary’s favor was completely unique and extraordinary. No other woman has ever conceived by the power of the Holy Spirit without the normal biological process. The redemptive story of the entire human race cannot be fully told without making mention of the Virgin Mary.
IMPOSSIBLE is God's signature! But, for Mary was God's favor truly favor?
