Soul Snack 190/11 ... The Green Tank
Peering into the green water tank his eyes awakened to his own reflection. Soulful eyes and a high chin framed an expression of surprise, yet a Narcissus he wasn't.
This shimmering breeze-shaped mirror before him reflected a warm smile, eyes of caring curiosity and a generous soul.
This face with the burdens that six billion other faces also wore abruptly realised for the first time - he had always failed to see himself accurately.
The facial demeanour he pondered was actually how others saw him and not as he had seen himself. With the light caress of a soft breeze the image strangely cleared and the reflection was smiling back at him and now he smiled within.
It is only when the Lord breezes His breath of truth into our lives that we will ever see ourselves as we really are - as He truly sees us.
When the spirit of truth illuminates our mind he also brightens our souls.
But when he, the Spirit of truth, comes, he will guide you into all truth. (John 16;13a)
