The Waters Parted Twice!

Do you wait for waters to part? The Israelites did too.

The God who parted waters is YOUR God.

By faith Moses left Egypt, not fearing the king's anger; he persevered because he saw Him who is invisible. (Hebrews 11:27)

Now wind the clock forward forty years for Moses. He would see the promised land, but not set foot in it. That job belonged to Joshua.

Remarkably the Israelites had walked through waters parting again, to battle and then settle in the promised land.

Following Moses example, by faith Joshua nearing his end instructed perseverance and counseled faithfulness.

Be very strong, be obedient, do not turn to the right or to the left ... hold fast to the Lord your God, as you have until now. (Joshua 23:8)

Be very careful to love the Lord your God. (Joshua 23:11)

You know with all your heart and soul that not one of all the good promises the Lord your God gave you has failed. Every promise has been fulfilled, not one has failed. (Joshua 23:14)

For those who wait, the Lord's arm is not short. His promises are potent.

The Last Word:

The promises behind you run deeper than the waters before you.
