Smoldering Wicks Live On!

Jesus make promises, He does not break them.

Battered people (sadly) are often more alert to Jesus' promises than those at ease. Faith is refined in the battle.

Jesus' promise to the lost, the least, the last and the lonely remains until His return:

A bruised reed He will not break, and a smoldering wick He will not snuff out, till He leads justice to victory. (Matthew 12:20)

Jesus knows when you will snap. He sees the blackness of all your bruises, and the blue swellings that grow upon your spirit. No hurt or harm is hidden from Him.

Your flickering column of smoke rises to His home, as indeed your prayers. Jesus has witnessed the injustice that brought you to breaking point, but no malevolence of man will He permit to take you past the breaking point. He always offers a way out.

Jesus will sustain you until He has re-established well being for you.

No injustice of man can ever over-rule the justice of God.

Smoldering wicks live on - they are not snuffed out.
