Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God—this is your true and proper worship. Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will. (Roms 12:1-2)
The old mind of man cannot grasp the right thinking of God.
No-one may so hold the knowledge of God's good, perfect and pleasing will without first a reconditioning of the mind.
To walk and live each day in unredeemed thought is to not grasp God's will. It is to stay in mine. Such living is a sojourn in grey, yes - a passage through increasing darkness. All Christians MUST learn this, for it is too simple to cherish the aged and comfortable thoughts.
It is forever God's mercy alone that permits me to walk in God's will. The only alternative is to live in shade, driven by desire and drifting within an empty but dangerous cloud.
Thankyou Father for being so merciful to me,that I may seek your will and not be enslaved to mine. Amen
Consider (even for a moment) the extravagant mercy that permits the human will to be informed by the Divine will.
