Soul Snack 8/148 ... Permanent Pleasure - Now!
Cloaked in the anonymity of night, silently he stood. Gazing with deep thanks beyond the shimmering starry hosts. His eyes danced down the path of the milky way to a destination as yet unseen. His tender heart refreshed again by a divine infusion of joy.
Peering intently to heaven, he knew heaven was smiling with equal intent to Him. A soul of humble gratitude he deliberately raised heavenwards.
Unusually his hands too raised. A heart alive expressed itself in a body given to praise. His mouthed pursed, 'THANKYOU.'
Body, soul and spirit all savoured this moment. His Father enjoyed it equally, as well.
The joy of a heart attuned to praise is to be sought and held onto.
Day and night they (the four living creatures) never stop saying: "Holy, holy, holy is the Lord God Almighty, who was, and is, and is to come." Rev 4:8b
The joy of a person committed to praise is to enjoy heaven early. Likewise it brings joy to heaven now.
The heart of thanks will always receive much more from heaven than it ever gives to heaven.
Pursuing praise can never be premature. I do not have to wait until heaven.
Pursuing praise is both giving Him pleasure and receiving His permanent pleasure right now.
