How do you guard your soul?

After the fall of Adam and Eve God moved swiftly to secure the Tree of Life. It had to be protected. God placed a sword alight and angels as sentries to The Tree to prevent evil from gaining eternal life.
He drove out the man, and at the east of the garden of Eden He placed the cherubim and a flaming sword that turned in all directions to guard the way to The Tree of Life. (Genesis 3:24)
So how can I protect my immortal soul from evil? NOTE: It is mankind's souls the merchants of Babylon trade i, our clear survivor to eternity. (See Revelation 18:13)
So, how can a man guard his soul? Some SoulSupply thoughts:
- Sow to the infinite dally rather than the finite. This is always the choice for righteousness.
- Seek God's face to gain understanding and avoid His judgement day. (Matthew 25)
- Remember the conduct of the innocent is upright. (Proverb 21:9)
- Dwelling on temptation never discloses the side-effects, nor the costs. Refuse to give room to ‘the flesh’. (Romans 13:14 & Galatians 5:13)
- To do what is right and just is more acceptable to the Lord than sacrifice. (Proverbs 21:3)
… and everyone who thus hopes in Him purifies himself as He is pure. (1 John 3:3)
'Purity' is the guardian of the soul. It’s the ‘angel’ who shields my soul.
Purity holds protection for the upright.
