The Ways of Holiness

What health is to the heart, holiness is to the soul. (John Flavel)
Sanctify them in the truth; your word is truth. As you sent Me into the world, so I have sent them into the world. And for their sake I consecrate Myself, that they also may be sanctified in truth. (John 17:17-19)
To do what is right and just is more acceptable to the Lord than any sacrifice. Virtue is Jesus' focus.
'Consecrate', 'sanctify', 'set aside' are all common synonyms. 'Holiness' is loud in it's Biblical repetition. Separation and submission are the true conduits to holiness.
This is Jesus' modus operandi! He dares to speak, be holy as I am holy! (Leviticus 11:44) Mimic His example.
To sit with the pure Lord, and 'gaze into His wonderful face' soothes a disturbed soul and is therapeutc to the spirit.
... let us purify ourselves from EVERYthing that contaminates body and spirit, perfecting holiness through fear of God. (2 Corinthians 7:1)
Seek God's face with understanding, to miss His judgement day.
Be warned:
dwelling on temptation never discloses the side-effects, nor the possible cost. The first cost is polluting the position of holiness.
Holiness has a partner - peace. And, a canopy - the fear of God.
