This Only Do I Seek...

The most comforting of David's psalms were pressed out by suffering. (anon)

The Psalms are still alive. They each carry King David's living breath and every heartbeat to each person who would pause with them.

A prayer from David's focused soul for yours too:

One thing I ask from You Lord,
    this only do I seek:
that I may dwell in Your house Lord
    all the days of my life,
to gaze upon Your beauty Lord
    and seek You in Your temple.
For in the day of trouble or in the day of peace
  You will keep me safe in Your dwelling;
You will hide me in the shelter of Your tabernacle
    and set me high upon a rock.

Lord, I love to be in the house where You live,
    the place where Your glory dwells.

I long to dwell in Your tent forever
    and take refuge in the shelter of Your wings.

My heart screams to You, ‘Seek Your face!’
    Your face Lord, I will seek.
You have not hidden Your face from me,
   nor turned Your servant away in anger;
 You have been, You are and You will always be my helper.

Teach me Your way O Lord, and lead me in a straight path.

I am still confident of this: I will see Your goodness Lord
    in the land of the living.
I wait for You Lord; I want to be strong, take heart
    and wait for You Lord.#

whoever comes to Me I will never drive away. (John 6:37b)

The one thing any man may ask freely, the one thing any man may seek, AND with guaranteed success - is to live daily with his Lord.
