Many are the plans in the mind of a man, but it is the purpose of the Lord that will stand. (Proverbs 19:21)
Mankind can do nothing to hasten the times of grace, or halt the days of judgement.
Mankind in unity, or in dispersion are mere peas on the plate of heaven.
Who is he who thinks he can out-wit Heaven, and subdue His works?
Mankind must redeem his own times, but he can never move God's set times.
God's appointments are as fixed as His laws for heaven and earth.
The quickened spirit or the dull spirit can do nought. They are impotent to prevent heaven's decisions, and arrogant to try. Otherwise, evil would be free from Divine sovereignty, and its strangling grip upon earth would ever gain momentum.
