Soul Snack 8/13 ... The Breath of a Friend
To be breathed upon is to be caressed (usually). A sweet breath does not punch anymore than it is to be feared. Although breath is unseen it can surely be felt.
Breath is a sign of life. The welcome breath of a friend is the sign of a living relationship. A breath is only ever known or received in close proximity. A friend's breath is rarely felt in haste.
God has breath, after all He is the only Living God! His breath is His Holy Spirit. This Holy Spirit - God's breath gives life, revives dry bones and raises the dead.
Place yourself this day (close to Him) so that God's breath may fall upon you. Refresh your spirit with His Spirit. Comfort your soul with His counsel. Request of the Father His breath -- His Holy Spirit.
This Father in heaven is generous beyond human imagination. He gives without finding fault. He refuses to constrain His Spirit because God gives without limit.
