When the heart pounds...

Another angel, who had a golden censer, came and stood at the altar. He was given much incense to offer, with the prayers of all God’s people, on the golden altar in front of the throne. The smoke of the incense, together with the prayers of God’s people, went up before God from the angel’s hand. (Revelation 8:3-4)

Prayer is to the disciple as oxygen is to the lungs, or the hammer is to a carpenter.

Passing through life often contains far more of the unexpected than the expected:

  • difficulties arise that defy explanation
  • decisions are made on mere available evidence
  • directions demand hurried choices, and
  • words are spoken that are easily misread or hasty.

Have you also endured seasons when darkness quenches light?

Could life irregularly or regularly be summed up as blind leading the blind?

But, life need not be so.

As you'd expect the Lord knows the answers, He still guides, He always will:

... ask where the good way is and walk in it, and you will find rest for your soul. (Jeremiah 6:16b)

Prayer isn't an option, it is a necessity. Angels assure prayer reaches Heaven.

The Last Word:

Whether the heart is sealed in peace or pounding - make prayer your practice, and then pray some more.
