The glittering YOU!

Soul Snack 146/13 ... The glittering YOU!

Surely nobody would be a charlatan, who could afford to be sincere. ~ Ralph Waldo Emerson

Glitter is a masquerade for the life of a charlatan.

The people pleaser and the self-protective alike languish in an imposter's body given to gloss and world deceit. As with Jacob many tread the soils of earth pretending to be another for fear of being truly known.

In all of us at times, the real person within is alien to the persona presented without. From any childhood divided by some measure of soul or spirit damage, the real person is simply replaced by the perceived desirable one.

Well the good news is that the person within is already exposed -- what man hides from man can never be hidden from Heaven.

It is only the real YOU that Jesus sees, that Jesus died for and that Jesus still loves with  self-abandonment to this very day.

You may cherish the glitter of being an imposter, but Jesus only cherishes the gloss of the real you - for this is all He ever sees.

My frame was not hidden from you when I was made in the secret place. When I was woven together in the depths of the earth, (Ps 139:15)

It is with Jesus that you can afford to be sincere because it is also safe.

Today's Soul Snippet:
