Washing Last Year Away

New Year, worldwide, provides a catalyst to wash away last year, and plan this next year for further betterment. Covid has served men well again to move forward with renewed purpose, but anxiety and fear follows close by as bed partners.

I am both keen and anxious to see Christ formed in each one of us. That we aim for His full likeness, becoming a people dwelling with God, and devoted to God.

Our problem since that first darn apple is that we don't know how much we need God. It's the knocks that teach us most. Covid just adds to the knocks.

Three new New Year axioms# to wash a poor last year away:

1) don't despise the season/s of hard knocks. These times forge the man within. Fiery stones crawled over are a super-heated invitation to grow into the image of Christ.

2) God's heart is for your heart. Take every opportunity to allow Him to draw you to Himself.

3) God's kingdom must first reign in you before it can ever reign around you. His rule in your life changes your behavior, times and thoughts.

Don't forget that a true and pure Eden was always God's good template for life on earth. Here the first man first dwelt with God.

My eyes will watch over My people for their good... (Jeremiah 24:6a)

Today's Soul Snippet:

'I believe the holier a man becomes the more he mourns over the unholiness that remains in him.' ~ Charles Spurgeon

#An axiom is a useful principle to hold, it is often self-evident. Such principles thus steer and guide he who would agree with them.
