4 Benefits of Devotion

Devotion places me within the house of praise, it is my temple to God. There I find blessing for my heart and spirit. They are raised in song and I honor my Lord above all else.

Devotion is the choice to leave activity aside to another time that the Lord may have my time first.

Cheap time is only cheap devotion.

In devotion God's heartbeat touches and I gain His understandings.

Devotion is moving behind God's shield, into the very safest place of love.

Devotion is abiding in the presence of the Divine. It is a watering of faith. When faith is watered it expects the miraculous, but while it is dry faith notes in bold block letters - IT IS ALL TOO HARD.

Devotion rich faith becomes more attuned to:

  • praising than sadness
  • being than doing
  • trust than effort and
  • simplicity than collecting.

Blessed are those you choose and bring near to live in your courts! We are filled with the good things of your house, of your holy temple. (Psalm 65:4)

Blessed are those who dwell in your house; they are ever praising you. (Psalm 84:4)

Blessed are those who have learned to acclaim you, who walk in the light of your presence, Lord. (Psalm 89:15)
