4 Comforts to the Poor & Needy
It is good to be named among the poor and needy, for they are humble, knowing little self-strength, depending upon no favor of man.
- Rejoice oh poor and needy for the Lord hears you - the humble plea He honors and so draws close.
- Rejoice oh poor and needy for there is much protection in His witness of your soul.
- Rejoice oh poor and needy for the Lord watches the troubled heart that reaches out to Him.
Recognising the truth of my poverty and helplessness casts me to my knees.
I bow my head into the Lord's lap.
His arms wrap around me as He bends forward, protecting me from all life's harmful and deceitful panaceas to pain.
I can now shrink from immorality, drugs, drunkenness, shopping and countless other failing lies to masquerade what hurts.
- To this day the Lord still raises the poor from the dust and the needy from the ash heap.

God has not changed - He is always the God of restoring love to those who call to Him.
