5 Dawn Prayers ~ Day 1 - KINDLING
Jesus began His day with His Father (our Father too) often prior to dawn. He still is the best model.
O my Lord, I thank-you for your mercies that arrive fresh every morning, almost always unseen. I approach you now that I may begin this day with you, place you first so you are strongest on my mind and longest in my heart all day. Ignite my will this day to deny the distracting energies and desires of my flesh which draw me to sin. Rekindle in me Lord my first love, that I will no longer be robbed of you and you of me by all the new loves I have lately fallen to. AMEN
