Union is the bonding of love.
The perfect expression of union is two becoming one.
When union is desired love is present. When it is not desired love is absent.
Love is lived out in devotion. It thumps the heart without relief for the other's presence.
Married couples who stop with each other, who are comfortable together, will enjoy union. Stopping for a relationship is the first step in knowing the other.
Jesus invites such a merger too, for He is the Groom.
Union is the passport to intimacy.
Union is not reserved for the pious, the mystic or the academic. It is offered to the fool and sage, the pauper and the prosperous, the captain and the crew alike.
Union is for those poor enough to welcome Jesus. It is for those who are old, hospitalised or out of work, who open their hearts in trust to Jesus and cry out for His healing love. ~ Jean Vanier

Union is not only a desire, it is the divine destination for you.
