IMPOSSIBLE - Christmas is Magnetic!
Christmas is not proud. Christmas invites mankind to reverse his polarity.
Pride was little discussed and humility unknown by Ancient Near Eastern peoples. With awe and surprise these ancients would see the world 'roll' and be drawn onto a new axis.
Christmas heralded the unthinkable, God being so humble as to enter earth (also with a guaranteed disdain). I wonder if God's Christmas fabric is humility?
Within her soul Mary GLORIFIED God ... He has been mindful of the humble state of His servant. (Luke 1:58) God trusts the humble, they won't seek glory - rather they will shrink from it. These are the ones He seeks to recruit, drawing close to the humble.
As with angels, shepherds and new birth God has not changed to this day ... for the eyes of the Lord range throughout the earth to strengthen those hearts who are fully committed to Him. (2 Chronicles 16:9)
Mary's humility was used by God the Father. She had found favor with Him to bear the Son of the Most High, to be named Emannuel, and save the souls of mankind.
Humility is a magnet to God, but He has scattered those who are proud in their inmost thoughts. (Luke 1:51)
That first Christmas ensured that this world will never be the same again. IMPOSSIBLE - Humility drew salvation for all.
