Coals Upon the Soul ~ C

Maybe the biggest problem in choosing forgiveness is pride?

I am NOT going to forgive them!

Forgiveness creates room for the Holy Spirit of Jesus to move in me and maybe the offender. Without forgiveness the spiritual space between us is saturated in heavy darkness. The coals upon the soul then glow ever brighter

Unforgiveness is really the pall of darkness. It weights the soul in despair and distress; both are thieves to peace and both will sink the body.

Unforgiveness is a shadowy load carried at great expense to energy and well being.

Daily unforgiveness will simply pour further burning fuel to the soul.

STAY ALERT - for it is as fires grow they spread and finally consume.

Forgiveness is the hub of health and the anchor of a person into the safe depths of heaven. It radiates emotional, physical and spiritual strength.

And surely I am the great comforter of men's souls. And so I tell you, My child, that as you run to Me and refuse to vent your anger upon the one who betrayed your heart, so I tell you, that indeed I shall be your great right hand. ~ Jesus

I cling to you; your right hand upholds me. (Psalm 63:8)

It hurts far more to hold unforgiveness than to release it.

There feels an unreasonably high cost to forgive, but the cost is far higher not to.

Who is a God like you, who pardons sin and forgives the transgression of the remnant of his inheritance? You do not stay angry forever but delight to show mercy.  (Micah 7:18)

Forgiveness expresses mercy and quells the fires upon the soul.

It is divine to forgive and human to follow suit.

"To be a Christian means to forgive the inexcusable because God has forgiven the inexcusable in you." ~ C.S. Lewis
