Crunch time for Christians?#

The power of persevering in faith in the face of fiery, unyielding opposition can't be understated. One simple, echoed encouragement of the Bible to us as believers is this: press on.

We think of Daniel and his friends facing political pressure to conform to the Babylonian culture and compromise their faith.

Then there's Queen Esther, who courageously stood for the safety of her people, the Jews, in the cauldron of political intrigue and intimidation.

The Apostle Paul "died daily" as he faced intense persecution for his indefatigable spreading of the Gospel, after being ignited in faith on that dusty Damascus Road.

The need for Christians to collectively press on, pray through, and stand up for truth has never been greater.

Many and various attacks in the ever-darkening western world confront any Bible believing Christian, such as:

  • gender confused children
  • the 'rainbow warriors' warring against Christian morals and denying purity
  • attacks to erode Christian education

As we are faithful in that which the Lord is calling us to do, He encourages:

Blessed is the one who perseveres under trial because, having stood the test, that person will receive the crown of life that the Lord has promised to those who love him. (James 1:12)

The Last Word:

Jesus is irresistible to mankind or invisible to mankind. THUS, Christians let their light shine before men. The light is louder and brighter when gathered in purposeful unity.
