Musings upon why Evil?

SPOILER ALERT:

How unsearchable are His judgements, and His paths beyond tracing out! Who has known the mind of the Lord? (Romans 11:30-31a)

-----------

It is still widely recognized that mankind has cognitive limitations, yet the acknowledgment that God has allowed evil into the world cannot be over-stated. God’s own Word confirms this. Far from trying to deny evil or pretending it is satan’s or humanity’s doing, God neither apologizes nor explains why evil exists. We 'know' that in His foreknowledge, He created satan and later banished him to the earth to rule as its temporary prince of the air, but note - this wicked prince was furnished no home, let alone a palace.

There is no question that God has permitted evil on earth (and arguably enabled it).

For those who say, 'why do bad things happen and how can God allow human suffering' - I don’t know the answer; only God does and He might reveal His reasons to us if He’s ready.

Others argue that God cannot exist because He would never allow evil. That might be so in the “God” they imagine, but if God is who the Bible says, He is clearly well beyond our reason. How can the finite even grasp at the Infinite?

So we will continue to wonder, why did God place the second named tree in a new and perfect Eden?

Satan questions .... did God really say, 'you must not eat of the Tree of Knowledge of good and evil ... the woman replied to the serpent ... God did say 'you must not eat fruit from the tree that is in the middle of the garden, and you must not touch it or you will die' ... 'you will not surely die.' said the serpent to the woman ... (Genesis 3:1-5 excerpts)

We NOW know and live the results!

Just mere speculation but, could the Tree of Knowledge of good and evil been necessary because faithfulness is only possible when unfaithfulness is available?
