I write this in the deep reflection that I am a sinner who would challenge the apostle Paul for the title chief among sinners (see 1 Timothy 1:15-16).
Annually Sydney celebrates the Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras. (I suspect that Sydney is shamefully the worldwide pioneer of such horrid events.)
Great joy, massive energy (despite the rain at times) and a contagious enthusiasm celebrates the Gay MardiGras. This chunderous event of misplaced sexual pride is accompanied by an engineered dignity and reported voraciously by all Sydney news networks (and probably much wider than just Sydney).
God's Word is as clear as this sin is black, homosexuality is both unnatural and shameful.
Because of this, God gave them over to shameful lusts. Even their women exchanged natural sexual relations for unnatural ones. In the same way the men also abandoned natural relations with women and were inflamed with lust for one another. Men committed shameful acts with other men, and received in themselves the due penalty for their error. (Romans 1:26-27)
This world has no idea of righteousness or understanding of sin. The darkness of this parade is reflected in the darkness of night they choose to revel in.
"There is nothing that keeps wicked men at any one moment out of hell, but the mere pleasure of God." ~ Jonathon Edwards
There is the Way of Holiness (Isaiah 35:8) and there is judgement for every activity conducted in the flesh. Things of the flesh will never inherit the things of heaven.
God's judgement (our due penalty) falls correctly upon us and this earth for such sin.
Jesus' loving instruction remains for those who would still hear - go and sin no more.
