Defining God's 'A - Team'

Below are three reasonably obscure Biblical references that define God's 'A-Team'.

  1. Moses was the humblest man on all the earth. (Numbers 12:3) No wonder God found him. Moses had fled from his own and became a 'horrid' shepherd.
  2. In an Almighty puzzling vision King Nebuchadnezzar both saw and heard a messenger from the God of Daniel ... the Most High is sovereign over the kingdoms of men and gives them to anyone He wishes and sets over them the lowliest of men. (Daniel 4:17b)
  3. When they saw the courage of Peter and John and realized they were unschooled, ordinary men, they were astonished, and they took note they had been with Jesus, they were astonished. (Acts 4:13) Peter, only a fisherman, continues as a Divine witness and encouragement for those who mess-up.

The Scriptures are littered with the 'nobodys', the 'retiring' or simply the 'lost, the least, the last or the lonely'.

Saul hid behind bags, David was the youngest, Elijah came from nowhere and an endless list extends towards eternity.

God searches for people that no other looks for. He takes peoples from the ends of the earth; from its farthest corners He calls, chooses and does not reject - this is His time honored modus-operandi. All these are His 'A-Team'.

Postscript:

99.9% of the world will never know them, and you may well be unseen too. (p'sst - don't pass that on, please!)
