In The Stillness#

Recently I had a very brief exchange with a lady who wanted a Word from God.

The word was Psalm 46:10 - "Be still and know that I am God."

I asked the Lord about it, actually I asked Him twice, and He responded with this:

"If only My children would enter through the veil and just sit at My feet and wait on Me. If only they would learn that I have so much I want to say to them, but they just don't listen. Tell them, please tell them - should they sit quietly at My feet, then I will answer them. If they cease their relentless chatter, then they will be able to hear from Me. I know their requests before they ask. I know their needs and I know their hearts. Just tell them, Hush, sit quiet, and listen - and I will speak to them."

Jeremiah 29:13 says - 'If a man seeks me with all his heart, he will find Me.'

Jeremiah 33:3 says - ‘Call to Me and I will answer you, and I will tell you great and unsearchable things which you do not know.’

Yet Sometimes we rush into prayer, gabble all of our 'shopping list', and rush out again. Things are going to get rather hectic in this coming season and we all need to learn afresh the value of silence. During these times of silence the Lord will refresh us, rejuvenate us, refill us with both His love and a His Spirit. Even more importantly, He will anoint us and give us that next essential mantle for the upcoming tasks He is giving us.

It is only required to be still before Him.#

Stopping with the Lord expresses a perfect trust that the things left undone can remain undone while your are seated on His lap or at His feet.
