Fuelishness

Soul Snack 199/11 ... 'Fuelishness'

Into the middle of daily routine and the muddle of mixed-up feelings a small voice attempts to softly whisper.

It is difficult to yell with love or bellow in tenderness so it only whispers. Certainly a soft tone conveys love with ease.

Floating from the heavens to alight upon each soul are the daily graces of love amidst a world charged with lust and devoid of love.

Into lust-wounded human spirits and souls that have collided, the softness of the only Saviour still speaks. Words of repair and not wreckage waft down to those sufficiently attentive to receive.

In the western busyness of too many deadlines and the merciless din of each day, stop to receive the refreshing fuel of heaven, for there is no fuelling on the run.

A soul can be no more fuelled when moving, than a car can be fuelled by motoring past the gas pumps.

After the earthquake came a fire, but the LORD was not in the fire. And after the fire came a gentle whisper. When Elijah heard it, he pulled his cloak over his face and went out and stood at the mouth of the cave. Then a voice said to him, “What are you doing here, Elijah?” (1 Kings 19:12-13)
