To those cemented on their knees, begging to heaven or wrestling a tearful avalanche...
Lord I don't understand your silence - I know you are wise beyond measure and not quick to speak yet I don't understand your silence.
Lord I know your reserve does not equate to dis-interest, busy-ness or unavailability. I know your apparent reluctance does not mean you are absent, deaf or un-loving but my Lord, my Father, I don't understand your silence.
Lord - what appeals, petitions and requests do you respond to? How are they to be said? I know you are as aloof as you are close but when do you decide to speak?
Father without doubt's shadow - you are loving beyond knowledge and you are unfailingly attentive to your child's needs. I know that a dad desires to speak to his much loved child - but Lord I don't understand, why your silence?
For God does speak —now one way, now another — though man may not perceive it. (Job 33:14)
