OH ~ to be admired!
'Popularity' is a growth industry. This has been so since Eden's gates were locked.
Then they said, “Come, let us build ourselves a city, with a tower that reaches to the heavens, so that we may make a name for ourselves..." (Genesis 11:4a)
Popularity is an enemy to the soul. It is the yeast of 'crowd-pleasing' and 'Lord-ignoring'.
BE AWARE if all men speak well of you, because Jesus is truly a stumbling block to mankind.
Woe to you when everyone speaks well of you, for that is how their ancestors treated the false prophets. (Luke 6:26)
Celebrate Jesus anyway, even if this world and your brothers think ill of you, misjudge your intentions or believe you to be strange.
REJOICE - for alienation upon earth indicates a welcome into Heaven.
In keeping with His promise we are looking forward to a new heaven and new earth, the home of righteousness. (2 Peter 3:13)
The price popularity exacts is Paradise - the home of righteousness.
